Green Mountain Prospectors of Vermont is an independent Not-for-profit organization that is working to advance prospectors rights in the State of Vermont.
Established in 2002 as a GPAA Gold Prospectors Association of America Chapter Club we are now on our own.
Starting in 2007 we are heading into the legislature to regain the right to use a sluice and dredge freely on Vermont's waterways.
Due to the shortsightedness of Vermont legislators, in 1998 the laws were changed and it became illegal to use even a small dredge in Vermont.
You also need a permit with over bearing restrictions just to use a simple sluice. We've been working to change
this for many years with the help of friendly legislators, but now we're ramping up the battle. Wouldn't you like to be a part of the fight?
We can show you how, and as you know, there is strength in numbers.

Green Mountian Prospectors of Vermont isn't just a faceless organization that you add your name to so someone can do the work of protecting your rights.
You have to get out and experience it for yourself, and to do that we have regular gatherings throughout the Spring and Summer where we all go for the GOLD.
It's an experience, and sometimes an adventure you will not forget. Getting into the river and actually seeing the specks and flakes in your pan.
If your're lucky a nugget will appear and you can do your own dance. Something no one else has ever seen before.

To Join – cost is $10 for individual or $25 for family, this is a annual dues fee made payable to Green Mountain Prospectors Club.

Who knows, you just might find riches beyond your wildest dreams in the Green Mountain Prospectors of Vermont!
